This year the Wyman library was thrilled to accept a book donation from the family of a former student. Our library collection was truly enhanced by this wonderful collection of books purchased by Melissa Gergel in honor of her daughter Lauren.
Melissa Gergel writes, "Lauren was a voracious reader at Wyman and still is. She is getting married and as part of her bridal shower 30 brand new books were purchased all about women who have achieved great things in their life with a slant towards the sciences, or encouraging girls to be all they can be. Lauren graduated from Pilgrim as the outstanding Science student, and went to WPI and Cornell, then into cancer research and consulting. She feels very strongly about encouraging girls to get into STEM."
All of the Wyman community will enjoy these books for years to come and our thanks go out to each member of the Gergel family!
