Claudia Botthof, E.T. Wyman Physical Education and Health teacher wrote on social media,
"I am so excited to have won a grant from the American Heart Association! This grant is based on the "Recess Rocks" program and will promote physical/recreational activities during recess. The focus will be to promote leadership skills of older students (grades 4 and 5) to implement games with younger students.
The money will be spent on equipment such as corn hole, etc that will also be shared with other Elementary PE teachers in the Warwick district! I am so grateful for the AHA to award the grant to E.T. Wyman Elementary School.
A special thanks to my principal Ryan Rafanelli for his support! Thank you parents for always supporting the AHA fundraiser! The yearly obstacle course is always a highlight of the school year!!"
